Last year, we marked a special milestone with the very first Catapluf Festival – a lively celebration inspired by 10 incredible years of the Catapluf Musical Journey project.
Held in the heart of South East London, the festival was all about bringing top-quality music and arts directly to the local community. It was a chance for families, children, and neighbours to come together, share experiences, and take pride in the rich cultural diversity that surrounds them.
We kept things local – from the performers to the workshops – not only to support the environment by cutting down on travel, but also to open up more creative opportunities right here at home.
Over two exciting days, more than 300 school children took part in engaging activities like arts and crafts, percussion, body percussion, and dance workshops. Families joined in the fun too, making it a memorable weekend for all ages.
And for those who couldn’t attend in person, we streamed concerts online so audiences across the UK could still enjoy the magic of Catapluf from wherever they were.
The Catapluf Festival was more than just an event – it was a celebration of unity, sustainability, and the joyful power of music.
